KUKRI BADGERS WIN THE OVERGAARD PHUKET TENS
In one of the best finals in the competition's history, the Kukri Badgers from the UK have defeated Loki Odins from Australia 12-5 to win the
2008 Phuket Tens tournament.
They also provided the Player Of The Tournament in Callum Morris.
As well as being a fantastic game, the weekend was well supported by a large crowd and close to 700,000 Baht was raised for the children of the Asia Center Foundation.
In the other competitions the Thai Barbarians defeated The Wanderers RFC from Singapore to win the plate, and the Bucks Bunnies retained the Bowl by beating the Balmoral Hellfish.

EXTINCT VOLCANOES RETAIN THE RAIMON LAND COFFIN DODGERS CROWN
The Extinct Volcanoes from the Phillipines lived up to their billing as
pre-tournament favourites to beat the Asian Japanese Dragons and retain the Prestigous Coffin Dodgers Cup.
In the other competitions the Wanderers wrinklies won the plate whilst the Bahrain Golden Oldies beat the local heroes, the Viagrabonds to win the Bowl.

Rugby 10s has raised close to 700,000 Baht for the Ronda Butler Memorial Fund. This equates to keeping 85 children on scholarships for the next year. |

BANGERS SNEAK BY IN SNOOZEFEST
Playing a brand of rugby that only their mother could love (that's assuming their mother is English) the Bangers deservedly defeated the local favourite Phuket Viagrabonds by 19-5. Intentions were well disguised by the selection of an exciting backline that featured Irish, Kiwi, a Scot and even a Belgian, however, were spitefully denied the ball by a pack of forwards lead by Andy Campbell and Le Capitaine, Jean Francois Klentzi interested in only stuffing it up their jumper. The Viagrabonds started brightly, intent on playing a running game however eyelids were seen to droop badly as half time neared without the ball being seen by crowd nor players.
That said, if your gonna sleep on the job rewards will not be forthcoming and that is exactly what happened when the ball appeared from nowhere heading towards the Viagrabonds line. No camera man was awake to record this incident. From there on the Viagrabonds were up against the odds as the huge Bangers pack lumbered around the park, playing stomach, ball, stomach, ball. It was hard even from the scrum half position to tell which was which.
Ah well, the Viagrabonds cannot complain at least our club won't be charging our backs admission fee next year. Talking of next year, already we look forward to seeing the Bangers in Phuket for what is everybody's game of the year.
